Mongolia's coal exports rise 8.7% MoM in Nov www.mysteel.net
Total exports of coal, excluding lignite, from Mongolia during November grew by 8.7% from October to reach 8.32 million tonnes, new data released by the country's Customs General Administration show. The November volume was also higher by a marked 23.4% compared with the same month last year, Mysteel Global notes.
The continued rise in Mongolian coal exports last month primarily reflected increased purchasing by Chinese traders in hopes that domestic end-users will ramp up winter restocking of the feed coal, to store enough stocks for consumption during the week-long Chinese New Year holiday that falls in late January, sources
