Road Minister tasks to open new airport on time www.montsame.mn
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Minister of Road and Transport Development B.Enkh-Amgalan met with representatives of the New Ulaanbaatar International Airport company that took over the management of the new airport in Khushig Valley.
The sides exchanged views on preparation for the airport’s launch and a plan of actions to be taken in the future and agreed on the principles the airport’s management should be based on.
The company’s executives informed the Minister that works are being carried out as scheduled and both of the sides are promptly working to put the airport into operation on time.
With its resolution No. 455 of 2019 the Government decided to name the new airport ‘Chinggis Khaan International Airport’ and change the name of the current airport as ‘Buyant Ukhaa’. Works are underway to officially announce this news to the world within April 23, 2020 and Minister B.Enkh-Amgalan tasked the company to officially open the airport by the agreed date.
