Over 7,000 Foreign Nationals Granted Visa Clearance www.montsame.mn
The Immigration Agency of Mongolia has granted visa clearance and relevant visa categories to 7,330 foreign nationals in January 2026.
Of these, 3,972 citizens from 20 countries were issued electronic tourist visas, the agency reported. Based on approvals from competent institutions, 1,237 foreign nationals were granted residence permits in Mongolia, while the residence permits of 5,057 individuals were extended. In January 2026, visas and residence permits were issued to more than 21,000 foreign nationals invited by around 3,000 citizens, organizations, and business entities.
Compared with the same period last year, the number of visas and visa clearances increased by 42.4 percent, residence permits by 1.6 percent, and extensions of residence permits by 68.1 percent.
