A regular emergency meeting of the capital’s management held on March 2, reviewed progress on previously assigned tasks and procurement for the year, and the mayor ordered an accelerated timetable for tenders and construction. The meeting noted that implementation of the 14 tasks assigned at the previous emergency meeting stands at 87.1%.
At the meeting, D.Battsetseg, Head of the Capital Procurement Department, reported that the department is managing 350 projects for 2026. She said 259 new projects and measures have been launched so far and 45% of tenders have been announced. Of the 350 projects, 207 are works, 73 are goods and 70 are services. D.Battsetseg added that 54 projects have been authorised to sign contracts, 67 are under tender evaluation, 37 are receiving tender materials, 82 are preparing tender documents, and 110 lack final drawings, budgets or work instructions.
The Mayor Kh.Nyambaatar instructed officials to expedite and announce all remaining tenders so that construction can begin within the current building season. The Mayor ordered that all tender announcements for projects and activities be completed before April 15, that work unable to be tendered promptly be transferred to organisations that can implement it, and that priority be given to economically beneficial projects.
