Russian Defense Minister S.K.Shoigu pays visit to Mongolia www.montsame.mn
By the invitation of his Mongolian counterpart N.Enkhbold, Defense Minister of the Russian Federation, Army General S.Shoigu paid an official visit to Mongolia today on October 18. The delegation consisted of 14 officials and 12 press representatives including the Russian Deputy Minister of Defense and five generals.
Defense Ministers N.Enkhbold and S.Shoigu held talks on defense sector relations, military cooperation and further directions and signed Long Term Program on Development of Military Cooperation between the two ministries. The program defines further directions of cooperation development in defense, management in the armed forces, military education, research, medical and humanitarian relations.
Afterwards, the Defense Ministers attended the military purpose airport equipment handover ceremony, provided by the Russian Ministry of Defense to the Mongolian Armed Forces.
During the official visit, Russian Defense Minister S.Shoigu held official meetings with PM U.Khurelsukh and Speaker of Parliament M.Enkhbold. Defense Minister S.Shoigu has been awarded with Red Banner Order of Military Merit by the decree of President of Mongolia Kh. Battulga and Parliament Speaker M.Enkhbold handed over the order.
