Officers from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) managed to rescue two miners and pull out the bodies of two others after having dived into 5m of icy water.
According to NEMA, the search for the four missing miners took place in very difficult conditions. The gold mine where the tragedy struck is run by Eco Altan Zaamar.
