Three North Koreans arrested www.news.mn
Three North Korean nationals have been arrested in the Russian Federation as they were trying to illegally cross the border into Mongolia. The incident took place in the village of Botsy in the south of the Republic of Buryatia, which is close to Mongolia’s Selenge province. Border security officers, from Buryatia’s Zed District, which shares frontier with Selenge, detained the group.
According to a source, the North Korean citizens planned to go to the Mongolian capital, and then to travel to third country after obtaining the necessary documents.
The North Koreans are now facing imprisonment of up to six years for illegally tried to cross the border.
