Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. At today’s daily briefing on the situation around COVID-19 infections in the country, D.Nyamkhuu, Director of the Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) informed that another patient has been recovered from the coronavirus, making the total number of recoveries in Mongolia 15.
No new case of COVID-19 has been reported since the 42nd case confirmed in Mongolia on May 8, Friday, from a passenger arrived in Ulaanbaatar on a charter flight from Frankfurt on May 3.
A total of 27 people diagnosed to have the coronavirus are under treatment at the NCCD and two more patients are likely to recover sometime soon.
As of today, a total of 982 people are staying under 21-day mandatory isolation at isolation facilities upon arrival from abroad on recent charter flights, and 450 people are continuing to stay under another 14-day home isolation as a precautionary measure after being discharged from the 21-day hospital-style isolation.
As all 42 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia are detected from overseas returnees, around 200 random tests are being carried out each week to detect if there is any local transmission of COVID-19, reports the Ministry of Health.
