Cabinet meeting news in brief www.montsame.mn
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Following decisions were made at the Cabinet meeting convened on November 18.
- To complete construction of railroad en route Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan in the third quarter of 2021, construction of railroad between Tavantolgoi and Gashuunsukhait in the third quarter of 2022, to develop blueprint of railroad construction en route Zuunbayan-Khangi next year and complete its construction in 2024
- To finish repairs of 58 km auto road from Ulaanbaatar to Uvurkhangai, 67 km auto road in route of Tosontsengel-Uliastai, ensure traffic safety of 126.7 km paved road in route of Bayankhongor-Gobi-Altai and make the road accepted by the state commission
- To formulate proposal on measures to be taken in stages to ban extraction of widely spread minerals on Tuul River basin, make rehabilitation
- To start issuance of six types of licenses out of the special licenses to be granted from the Ministry of Environment and Tourism virtually within this year
- To discuss the required funding for the work to pull out drowned cars and vehicles in Khuvsgul Lake in collaboration with international organizations
- To submit the issue of banning import of old, right-hand drive cars at phases for discussion at the Cabinet meeting
- To reduce air pollution in Ulaanbaatar city up to 80 percent and collaborate with citizens, government and non-governmental organizations and entities in reducing air pollution in other largest cities and settlement areas
- Corresponding ministers and Governor of the capital city were assigned to test and introduce innovative and advanced technologies for air pollution reduction at phases
