Export of coal from Mongolia grows by 15.7 million tons www.akipress.com
Mongolia has exported more than 19 million tons of coal since the beginning of this year, according to the Ministry of Mining.
4,286 vehicles and 1,045 containers exported a total of 590,900 tons of coal from April 28 to May 4, which is 60% more than in the same period last year. Mongolia has produced 19,774,700 tons of coal, which increased coal exports by 15,742,000 tons or four times compared to last year.
Mongolia plans to sell 50-60% of its coal through the stock exchange, Mining and Heavy Industry Minister Ganbaatar Zhambal said in April.
Mongolia plans to sell 12 million tons of coal by July 1 through the stock exchange. Annual coal sales are planned to increase from 50% to 60% by 2024. All coal will be sold through the stock exchange as early as 2025.
