Ulaanbaatar's new central treatment plant to launch this August www.gogo.mn
The rapid response headquarters held a regular meeting to address air pollution, advance infrastructure development projects, and ensure inter-sectoral coordination in Ulaanbaatar.
Following the meeting, L.Oyun-Erdene, Prime Minister of Mongolia, visited the progress of the new Central treatment plant, which is being constructed with a concessional loan from China. The plant is 95% complete and is slated for commissioning in August, 2025.
As part of the project, efforts to introduce wastewater recycling technology are also underway, with 60% of the work completed. Once operational, the recycling of treated water will help reduce the reliance on groundwater for industrial purposes, contributing to more sustainable water management.
