MINSK, 22 July (BelTA) - The interim trade agreement between the Eurasian Economic Union and Mongolia entered into force on 22 July 2026. In this connection, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) has commenced the issuance of certificates of origin for goods, BelTA learned from the BelCCI press service.
Submitting such a certificate when exporting to Mongolia is a key condition for receiving tariff preferences. The benefits apply to Belarusian goods, as well as to products originating from other EAEU member states.
The agreement, concluded for three years with the possibility of automatic extension, provides for the elimination or reduction of import duties on 367 commodity subheadings. This accounts for approximately 90% of the total trade between the parties. Belarusian producers gain access to the Mongolian market for a wide range of food and industrial products, including dairy products, beverages, confectionery, cars, trucks, cosmetics, and perfumery.
Such certificates are now available for issuance in accordance with the established procedure at BelCCI’s enterprises.
