Mongolia welcomed 417.6 thousand tourists in the first half of 2026, representing a 27.2 percent increase over the same period in the previous year.

In the first half of this year, the highest number of tourists, or 154.8 thousand, visited the country from the Russian Federation.

According to the National Statistics Office, the top 10 countries by tourist arrivals to Mongolia in the first half of 2026 were as follows:

Russia – 54.8 thousand tourists
China – 115.8 thousand tourists
South Korea – 55.2 thousand tourists
Japan – 14.0 thousand tourists
Kazakhstan – 9.1 thousand tourists
USA – 9.0 thousand tourists
Germany – 8.9 thousand tourists
Turkey – 6.9 thousand tourists
Taiwan – 4.3 thousand tourists
Belarus – 3.7 thousand tourists
