The HU Performs at UNESCO Headquarters to Promote Peace www.montsame.mn
Mongolian band “The Hu” performed at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris under the theme “Pump Up the Volume for Peace,” promoting peace, cultural diversity and mutual understanding through music.
The band showcased its signature “Hunnu rock” genre, blending traditional Mongolian instruments and throat singing with modern rock music to introduce international audiences to Mongolia’s history and cultural heritage.
Designated a UNESCO Artist for Peace in 2022, The HU uses its music to foster dialogue among cultures, encourage respect for diverse traditions and promote peace and solidarity.
The performance at UNESCO headquarters further advanced the band’s mission to share Mongolia’s musical heritage with the world while supporting UNESCO’s efforts to safeguard cultural heritage and promote mutual understanding.
