During his visit on May 18-22, Minister D.Tsogtbaatar discussed the Presidental and Prime Minister’s official visits to the US. The parties planned the Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh’s visit in late June and PM is scheduled to sign on the Second Compact with the Millenum Challenge Corporation during the visit as the compact negotiation has been concluded.

Additionally during the Foreign Affairs Minister's visit, the parties held discussions on developing the bilateral relations and reaching it to the Extensive and Comprehensive Partnership level.

The parties also discussed further expansion of trade and economic relations, exports of wool, cashmere and cotton goods, enhancing introduction of new US technologies to the agricultural sector of Mongolia and giving support for the energy security. Moreover, importance of cooperation in education was emphasized, requesting US to provide support in having native English speaking teachers in all high schools in Mongolia. The US side responded that they will consider the issue.
