MIAT’s new aircraft put on scheduled flights www.montsame.mn
Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ MIAT Mongolian Airlines’ new aircraft ‘Boeing 737-8MAX’ started making flights on regular schedule on February 5. After receiving its certificate for international flights, aircraft and other relevant flight permits issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, the new aircraft made its test flight to Hong Kong and is currently on the Ulaanbaatar-Beijing flight.
The new ‘Boeing 737-8MAX’ with 162 seats that consumes 14 percent less fuel than the previous similar ‘Boeing-737’ aircraft is planned for flights to Europe, but before it is being tested in short distance flights to Asia.
‘Boeing 737-8MAX’ is one of five aircraft MIAT plans to lease this year and first to be put on regular flight schedule. The second one is expected to arrive in May. With the renewal of its fleet, MIAT will make international flights with seven Boeing aircraft.
