Mongolians spending more than they earn www.news.mn
Mongolian per households spent more than they earned in July, according to reports from the National Statistics Office. Monthly average revenue per household reached MNT 1.2 million – an increase of MNT 194.2 thousand on the same period in 2018. This has been caused by the increase of the average monthly salary (MNT 121.2 thousand) and agricultural production revenue (MNT 36.9 thousand).
However, monthly average spending per households have also risen to MNT 1.3 million; an increase of 203.5 thousand from July, 2018, due to an increase of non-foods products and other expenses by MNT 159.4 thousand.
In the first quarter of 2019, household revenue can be grouped as follows:
– Households that have monthly revenue of less than MNT 300,000 increased by 38.5 thousand,
– Households that have monthly revenue of MNT 300,000-500,000 increased by 20.9 thousand,
– Households that have monthly revenue of MNT 1.6-2.1 million increased by 24.6 thousand,
– Households that have monthly revenue above MNT 2.1 million increased by 39.9 million.
