Non-performing loans in banking system amounted to MNT 2.0 trillion www.montsame.mn

At the end of October 2020, the total amount of outstanding loans to entities and individuals amounted to MNT 17.2 trillion, decreased by MNT 139.1 billion (0.8%) from the previous month, and by MNT 993.4 billion (5.5%) from the same period of the previous year. In the total outstanding loans, MNT 8.9 trillion (51.9%) was individual loans.
The performing loans reached MNT 14.0 trillion at the end of October 2020, decreased by MNT 251.5 billion (1.8%) from the previous month, and by MNT 1.3 trillion (8.8%) from the same period of the previous year. The performing loans make up 81.2% of the total loans and decreased by 2.9 percentage points from the same period of the previous year.
At the end of October 2020, the principals in arrears amounted to MNT 1.2 trillion, increased by MNT 79.5 billion (6.9%) from the previous month, and by MNT 274.1 billion (28.8%) from the same period of the previous year. The principals in arrears make up to 7.1% of the total loans, increased by 1.9 percentage points from the same period of the previous year.
At the end of October 2020, the non-performing loans in the banking system amounted to MNT 2.0 trillion, increased by MNT 32.8 billion (1.7%) from the previous month and by MNT 75.2 billion (3.9%) from the previous year. The non-performing loans in the banking system make up to 11.6% of the total loans, increased by 1.0 percentage points from the same period of the previous year.
The principal arrears in commercial banks and Mongolian Mortgage Corporation /MMC/ reached MNT 4.8 trillion at the end of September 2020, increased by MNT 27.9 billion (0.6%) from the previous month, and by MNT 303.6 (6.7%) billion from the same period of the previous year.
