During its regular session today, the Cabinet of Mongolia approved a resolution to implement the "Liberate" (Chuluulye) national initiative.

The Government of Mongolia launched the "Liberate" initiative to accelerate development by placing trust in the private sector and businesses, fostering mutual trust between the government and citizens, and eliminating bureaucracy, redundant regulations, and ambiguous requirements. The initiative aims to build a responsible state system rooted in justice, freedom, equality, and the rule of law. Accordingly, the Cabinet approved the resolution and action plan for the initiative's implementation.

"At the same meeting, the Cabinet discussed the draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Notaries and decided to submit it to the State Great Khural (Parliament of Mongolia)".

Currently, receiving certain notary services still requires citizens to visit offices in person, gather paper documents, and obtain various reference letters and statements, a process that remains time-consuming and costly.

To address this, the draft law establishes a legal framework for remote notarization. This will enable citizens to access specific notary services virtually, without needing to physically visit a notary office.

"Once the draft law is approved, notary services will transition to being 100 percent digital. Citizens will have the opportunity to receive notary services entirely online," stated Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs Amarsaikhan Sainbuyan.
