Delgersaikhan Borkhuu, Minister of Road and Transport of Mongolia  met with a delegation led by Song Ling, President of AVIC International of China, to discuss expanding cooperation between the two countries in the civil aviation sector through joint projects and programs, as well as strengthening human resource capacity.

During the meeting, Minister Delgersaikhan expressed Mongolia’s interest in training 40 air traffic controllers and 10 engineers in China to meet the staffing needs of the air traffic control centers in Ulaanbaatar and Sainshand. The National Civil Aviation Center LLC is working with AVIC International to organize the training at the Civil Aviation Flight University of China.

He also proposed enrolling 23 currently serving air traffic controllers in rating training and developing long-term cooperation to provide regular training for Mongolian civil aviation professionals in China, according to the Ministry of Road and Transport.

During the meeting, officials from the Civil Aviation Flight University of China presented their training programs and activities for preparing specialists in air traffic control, air traffic dispatch, aviation management, engineering, and low-altitude aviation technologies.

The Ministry of Road and Transport said it would provide the necessary support to ensure effective cooperation between the National Civil Aviation Center LLC and AVIC International. 

The two sides exchanged information on training and developing human resources and advancing technical and technological cooperation. The National Civil Aviation Center LLC of Mongolia and AVIC International of China subsequently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in these areas.
